Rodrigo Cerda Salas (aka LatinPoet) has always been passionate about music. After graduating from high school in Sydney he travelled to his native Chile and studied music at both the Conservatorium of Music at the University of Chile (Bachelor of Composition) and the Modern School of Music (Bachelor of Guitar).
Rodrigo has an extensive knowledge and deep appreciation of many musical styles including rock, folk-rock, pop, soul, funk, R & B, jazz and reggae. As a result his repertoire is interesting and broad-ranging and provides an ideal platform to showcase his artistry.
Rodrigo is a prolific writer and has been influenced by what he likes to call, “the greats of popular music”.
Due to his hard work and dedication Rodrigo is now positioned for a very bright future in the music industry.

Rodrigo is a prolific writer and has been influenced by what he likes to call, “the greats of popular music”. Particularly influential in my writing have been artists such as the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Led Zeppelin, Sting and the Police, Paul Simon, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, R.E.M, Bob Marley & the Wailers, Peter Tosh, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Miles Davis, David Bowie, John Coltrane and Herbie Hancock.
