ABOUT

G’day everyone,my name is Shirl and I’m a composer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, looking for fun and interesting projects.

I sing clean (F2 to D5), rasp/grit, and harsh (fry and false fold) vocals, and I’m most comfortable on bass and rhythm guitar. I write leads and can play them, but I’m definitely not a shredder, and I’ve played keys for the past 5 years, and compose well on keys, but it’s definitely my weakest instrument.

Generally speaking, I like music that has a progressive edge, but am comfortable in most genres. So if you’ve into anything jazz, folk, fusion, death metal, soul, prog rock, whatever, I’m probably keen.

Ideally, I’d love to find other musicians who are experienced and love making complex music, but aren’t obsessed with “making it”.
