Electronic-Rock hybrid ‘The Goddess’ seeks enthusiastic bass player, male or female aged 25 to 40. Must have the ability to play instinctually, without notation. We are currently a two piece; drummer and vocalist, with the use of backing tracks via DJ Decks for strings, piano, synth lines, guitars, falsetto harmonies, etc. Influences include Faith No More-Tea Party-Depeche Mode-NIN....mixing up with epic fantasy fiction soundtrack music. Major effort is put into song composition and the recording processes. We are looking to take that next step with our live shows.
Our live performances have had much early positive feedback thus far, however will a full band we feel we will REALLY be able to grab the audience’s attention. In a way, what we do is theatre, in terms of dramatic intensity. Ideally a sturdy bass player that can lend backing vocals and perhaps pinch hit on stage with other instruments on stage (if required) would be the ideal win for us.
Budding and intermediate players welcome, as long as your passion is there. (Backing vocals or budding vocals a major bonus.) We have had management interest overseas, and are currently building our live and recording experience upon their request. We are releasing our debut album towards the end of the Australian summer in 2018 and will be looking to launch and tour the album upon release.
You will need your own transport, instrumentation and a decent amp. We mainly jam in the Eastern suburbs or close to the city but accommodations can be made for the right member. We are currently booked to play the North Melbourne SpringFling festival on Sun Oct.15, and are looking for someone committed to jump right in! Love to hear from you.
