ABOUT

Hi, my name is Stevie and I'm the lead singer/songwriter/lyricist for the band Stevie & The Jones's. We are in the process of reforming after a several year hiatus. We are looking for musicians to join our current 4 piece. We would love to hear from multi-instrumentalists and singers, backing singers are what we are after and if play an instrument that's perfect, but backing singers that take a major role in harmonizing with myself.
Also, we would love to hear from any accordianists, piano/synth, volin players, brass players and banjo. At the moment we are an original artistic, poetic, folk groove band who would describe our sound as eclectic and progressive but looking to become more a gypsy inspired band of sorts. We play three covers at moment, Sinnerman by Nina Simone, Bella Ciao, the italian partisan treasure, and Bang Bang by Nancy Sinatra.
I am in the process of completing my Masters of Creative Writing majouring in Poetry and Lyrics. We are looking to make our sound more European inspired, in particular French Chanson and Klezmer.
