ABOUT

I have been a front man/ vocalist/ rhythm guitarist and percussionist for a variety of country, rock & pop bands from the 70's and beyond and a Festival Records recording artist. Shared stages with Roy Orbison, Don Everly ( briefly ) Jeannie C Riley, Lee Conway, John Farnham and many others, but my musical career lapsed. My musical interests are maturing into blues and rockabilly and good old fashioned rock and roll, with some country ballads thrown on for good measure. I'm passionate about good, simple and meaningful music and see no problem mixing the genres and interpreting songs in my own way. I'm not into cover bands but I get excited about discovering the basics of a good song and finding a different interpretation. Think JJ Cale meets Waylon Jennings meets the young Elvis with a bit of Eric Clapton , Johnny Cash, Little Richard etc. I am a mature artist but with a load of energy and enjoy the role of front man and audience connection and aspire to the percussion versatility of Ray Cooper. .
