ABOUT

Prog Rock drummer with tons of experience in playing, gigging and recording, coming to Sydney.

Originating in Perth, just back to Australia after four (non-drumming related) years in awesome Japan. Landed in Sydney recently and will be reunited with all my gear by mid-July. Shells just arrived by air, awaiting my hardware by sea shipment.

Looking for an original prog rock band (some metal influences ok - see influences) into writing material, recording and gigging. Prefer to avoid raging egos, don't expect fame and fortune but am committed and would like to generate some solid content - e.g. iTunes/Spotify etc releases and gigging would be great. Will go the next step if opportunity presents. Serious but have a sense of humour and need to enjoy playing as much as achieving.

Note while I am totally cool with rehearsals and recording, I want to gig - playing live is a key driver for me. Band also needs to be writing original material; I don't mind jamming on the odd cover at rehearsal for a warm-up, but band must record and gig original material.

Will be living reasonably central to Sydney CBD, but have own transport and will travel moderate distances for the right band - and as required for gigs.

Available for rehearsals on a weeknight and weekend day (more when recording and gigging, as required) and for gigging up to a few times a week.

PS: for those inquiring re session work, thanks but I'm saving my focus for getting a band up. I have a couple of small projects to keep me busy but otherwise I want reserve my time/energy for a band. Cheers :)

*****For anyone who has messaged me and not received a response, please note that I appear to be having issues with the Bandmix mailbox and am not receiving messages. Hopefully fixed soon. Cheers. *****
