Hey legends,
I’m a guitarist and vocalist looking for a creative partner-in-crime to form a new project. The idea is heavy, modern take on metal with the anthemic and melodic choruses of the 80-90's era, with a deep respect for metal’s roots but zero interest in recycling the same old formulas.
While age is not important, I would prefer someone around my own age (48). Male, female- I honestly could not care less. I want someone driven and hungry. Someone who loves metal for the power and the passion, but also wants to reinvent it. Carve out our own space in this oversaturated genre.
I love music and I listen to just about anything though I tend to gravitate toward metal in various forms. There’s influence in what I do from The Haunted, In Flames, Disarmonia Mundi etc. to Machinae Supremacy and the likes, but also Billy Talent and a few similar bands. Also a big part of me still loves the raw fist-pumping energy and showmanship of 80s glam and shock rock: Alice Cooper, Guns n' Roses (from back in the day), Skid Row, Mötley Crüe, Poison. It’s not necessarily front and centre in the sound, but the spirit is absolutely there.
So far I’ve got material for two to three albums written at this point. And I write lyrics and music constantly, so more is in the works. Now I’m looking to find that core creative spark—someone to bounce ideas with, write, arrange, and really build this thing.
