Pantastic was formed 22 years ago on the Sunshine Coast. . The band is managed by Trinidadian, Matt Davies, who has a passion for steelpans and calypso and soca - the indigenous music of his original homeland.
Pantastic has performed throughout SE Qld at most major events and festivals, and has earned itself a solid reputation for providing an authentic, sunny, rhythmic, life-affirming music for thousands of festival goers, corporate clients and private functions.
We are always seeking new players to expand the band. No previous experience playing steelpans is necessary, as we will provide the instruments and all training/tuition to any enthusiastic applicants. Having a good ear - and an interest in Caribbean music - will be a great help. This is a unique opportunity for someone to learn a new instrument, be immersed in an exciting and challenging new music and join a well established band.
