Rock'n'roll jazz trumpeter. Had been playing for many years in school, took a break, then got into Miles Davis and fell in love with improv and jamming. Taught myself to jam by playing along to Herbie Hancock. I refined these skills jamming with a couple of mates playing guitar and drums, then joined Harlan Khan for a year, playing a couple of gigs and attempting to record an EP: https://www.triplejunearthed.com/artist/harlan-khan. Was also in the UQ Big Band. I then left to study in Stockholm, buying a pocket trumpet so I could easily cycle around and participate in the public blues and jazz jams there. I have since returned home, jamming occasionally at Brooklyn Standard and the Brisbane Jazz Club, but hoping to join a band again.
I love listening and jamming to all kinds of rock, blues, funk, psychedelic, jazz. Happy playing either background stuff or soloing. Have a pickup mute and have toyed with playing through a guitar effects board. Can play chords on guitar too. Mostly just want to drink beer and jam with musos and play a sh*tty gig or two in the valley. For free obviously, just want to join a band
