Keyboard.ABOUT
We are looking for a female keyboard player for a covers band to rehearse once per week or fortnight at a convenient location somewhere around Marrickville, Five Dock or Homebush. Ability to sing harmony backing vocals behind our female singer is a big plus.
We have no plans of being rich or famous – the reward will be the satisfaction of playing in a good band people will enjoy listening to because of our attention to dynamics and feel, so we aren’t planning to play songs verbatim, instead we want to add something new to the arrangements like they do on “Daryl’s House”.
We have a song list we can forward - the songs are all known and well written pop, soul and disco covers in the style of the late 60’s to the 90’s..so NO this isn't another guitar dominated Angels, AC/DC or 80's pub rock tribute band. We want to play everything live and have no interest in using backing tracks etc.
We want this to be a long-term project so we aren’t interested in anyone jumping from band to band just to get paid gigs.
Paid private party, venue and corporate gigs would be good, but as the Sydney live music scene needs to be put on life support, equally attractive would be to become a “go to” band for charities seeking a band for their fundraising events for the reward of playing to appreciative audiences.
