ABOUT

Wanting to form (or join) a band or duo, and get playing with others and performing! I am easy-going and friendly so please text me on 0452 210 979 if interested. I live in Mulgrave (Melbourne).

I am a very accomplished and experienced electric and acoustic guitar player, both rhythm and lead. I also play piano and can find my way around a bass as well. I am strong at improvising and fast playing.

Influences

The Beatles are my all-time favourite band and my biggest love and influence.

Other huge influences include Pink Floyd, Queen, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, ABBA, The Tallest Man On Earth, Leonard Cohen, Gregory Alan Isakov, Flight Of The Conchords, Sigur Rós, Bon Iver, Wings, The Lemon Twigs, Lord Huron, Les Cowboys Fringants, and Renaud (French singer-songwriter).

Apart from that, I enjoy Muse, Fruit Bats, Phosphorescent, Eels, Coldplay, Low Roar, Xavier Rudd, Tom Waits, Daft Punk, Daniel Norgren ('Alabursy' album especially), and Maxime Le Forestier (French singer-songwriter). Also partial to some BTS now and again.

From the hard rock and metal perspective, I am a huge fan of Wintersun, Children Of Bodom, Gojira, Moonsorrow, Ensiferum, Finntroll, Opeth, Kalmah and Norther. I also enjoy Insomnium, Aether Realm, Equilibrium, Meshuggah, Finsterforst (particularly '...zum Tode hin' album), and Blind Guardian (particularly 'Nightfall In Middle-Earth' album). Other metal/hard rock bands that I listen to less frequently include Amon Amarth, Be'lakor, Brymir, Sabaton, Red Fang, First Fragment ('Gloire Éternelle' album is amazing), Gorod, Frosttide, and Tool.

I am a big classical music fan as well - Richard Wagner is my all-time favourite composer.

Honorable mentions that are more album-specific include:- My Chemical Romance ('The Black Parade' album), Cage The Elephant ('Melophobia' album), KT Tunstall ('Eye To The Telescope' album), Post Malone ('AUSTIN' album).

Lastly, I enjoy many soundtracks - I adore Howard Shore's 'Lord Of The Rings' soundtrack, John Williams' 'Jurassic Park' soundtrack, and Hans Zimmer's 'Interstellar' soundtrack. I also hold Eddie Vedder's 'Into The Wild' soundtrack album in high regard.
