ABOUT

Like working on bluesy grooves and write some stuff. Play electric guitar based on delta blues rock style. Would like to meet solid exploratory musicians on similar wavelength and have some fun do basic gigs and open mics. Don't have to be maestros - I'm certainly not one. Keeping good time and sounding cool and funky is main thing. Happy with avoiding loads of gear. I live in Claremont and can be contacted at 0422 940 927

Influences

Many influences but always say blues first. I play a rough thumb and two fingers style derived from Mississippi especially Delta and Hills Country and how those sorts of sounds worked out in Chicago. After that, in this sort of order, early Memphis rock and RnB, British blues boom, all RnB, Rockabilly, Swamp, Southern Rock, white trash country, Hank Williams, Muddy Waters, All those who influenced the Stones, Soul, Velvets, Stones, Jazz, Punk, Funk, Jazz-rock, Celtic, Bonnie Raitt, Dylan, Beverley Watkins, Leonard Cohen, Samantha Fish, Jessie Mae Hemphill, Tony Joe White, world alternative and mystical music especially Eastern and Gurdjieff.

EQUIPMENT

I now only use a late model Epiphone Casino Coupe with or without a small amp. I have an emulator to get a variety of sounds amps and cabs. But I like it just as it sounds as well acoustically or through the amp.
