Like to worki on bluesy grooves and write songs. Play electric guitar based on finger style blues rock with a bit of Chicago and Mississippi Hill Country style thrown in.eg Junior kimbrogh Kimrbough mixed with Lou Reed. Would like to meet solid elderly bass player and also drummer on similar wavelength and have some fun do basic gigs and open mics. Don't have to be maestros - I'm certainly not one. Keeping good time and sounding cool and funky is the main thing. Happy with avoiding loads of gear and being too flash. Still standing upright. You only iive once. Never say die. I have a small four track practice studio to practice in headphones and record. I live in Claremont and can be contacted at 0422 603 742

Influences
Many influences but always say blues first. I play a rough thumb and two fingers style derived from Mississippi especially Delta and Hills Country and how those sorts of sounds worked out when they reached Chicago. After that, in this sort of order, early Memphis rock and RnB, British blues boom, all RnB, Rockabilly, Swamp, Southern Rock, white trash country, Hank Williams, Muddy Waters, Freddie Kind All those who influenced the Stones, Velvets, Soul, Funk Dylan Leonard Cohen, Samantha Fish, Jessie Mae Hemphill, Tony Joe White, world alternative and mystical music especially Gurdjieff's rythmic stuff.

EQUIPMENT
I now only have a late model Epiphone Casino Coupe a busker amp with voice input and overdrive on guitar input. I tend to use Garage Band settings in the headphone set up like British warm and Fat Amp.. But I like the guitar just as it sounds acoustically for working things out or straight through the amp using what is there. I dubb in my own bass guitar and a midi keyboard stuff for dubbing in on practice recordings. But I would like to play iive with a pure bass player and drummer on a mix of covers and own stuff.
