ABOUT

Started off as a teenager mixing records in clubs, festivals, and house partys in and around Bristol in the UK and London. Mainly played breaks, Uk Garage, Jungle, Reggae and scratch dj'ing on Technics 1200 turntables and Vestax mixers.
I still Dj a little and scratch etc but the last few years have focussed more on producing my own music mainly Reggae and making my own "dubs" as I have gained a fair understanding of using DAW's such as Logic, Ableton ,Maschine and playing keyboard, melodica, fingerdrumming and some vocals as an Mc toasting rather than singing however I do sing a little also. My tone isn't the best for singing but is not bad for talking and toasting with big delay fx and reverbs using Roland Space Echo and other effects for added depth and variations to the original live lyrics on the fly.
Right now Im looking for partners to make dubs! I have a pretty good setup and have all of the necessary gear to engineer and produce good original "dubs"
My format is basically compose a Rhythm drum track usually by fingerdrumming, tighten up the beat and perhaps add little swing etc add some organ bubbles and piano skanks, horns, bass, vocals and perhaps even subtle turntable scratches etc.
Then bounce all of the midi to audio and then separate the four or five elements into groups that are then re sent back to a mixing desk through sends and returns to make a "dub" via many fx routings and processing for big delays, massive reverbs on snares for example.
Im looking for people to who want to play music and or engineering, produce, process these dubs to eventually play at pubs clubs and basically have a lot of fun along the way. Having said that this whole process of making music is as you know! actually very hard work but the results are rewarding.
