ABOUT

Lover of music and want to bring myself closer to it. Have played guitar (acoustic/electric) for shy of 10 years on and off.

I have no one in my family who’s musical, none of my friends play any instruments, and I’ve only been able to jam with other people a couple of times before, but absolutely loved hearing instruments other than my own.

I’m comfortable with my physical playing, however music theory is average as I’ve only just begun my theory journey a year or two ago. I’ve learned and forgotten more songs that I can count. I can comfortably play Barr chords, power chords, open chords, and am learning to understand and play lead.

Awesome shower/car singer. Average when not singing along to something, but can harmonise fairly easy when I am.

I guess I am just bored playing by myself. I’m open to a lot of different styles and playing set ups. Happy to even find someone who wants to learn a few two piece acoustic songs.

Ideally would love to move into stoner rock, grunge, rock as there’s no GAIN knob on my acoustic guitars

Influences

“I like all kinds of music” - bane of any musician who asks another musician what music they like.

Really like a lot of acoustic stuff (minus reggae), or anything with a bit of pace (classic 4 or 5 piece bands). Have a soft spot for 60/70’s psych rock, grunge, punk, etc… two fav bands are Violent Soho (Aus grunge band) and Led Zeppelin
