ABOUT

Hi, I'm William, a passionate bass guitarist who has been playing since my high school days. My musical journey began in Vietnam, where I performed with bands throughout high school and university under the guidance of a Vietnamese musician. Since then, I’ve been playing music continuously up to today.

At the moment, I perform double bass every Saturday night at a Vietnamese lounge, focusing on chamber-style music. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with various bands and explored multiple genres including Latin and Western music.

My versatility and dedication to music are reflected in my extensive collection of bass instruments — I own around 20 bass guitars (4-string, 5-string, and 6-string), plus 3 double basses and fretless basses, which allow me to adapt to a wide range of performance styles.

I’m a quick learner and can read music sheets proficiently. While I focus solely on playing bass (I don’t do vocals), my years of live performance experience — including thousands of gigs — combined with my ability to adapt across genres, make me a strong and reliable addition to any band.

I’m always open to new opportunities and collaborations that allow me to grow as a musician while contributing my skills and experience to the ensemble.

What sets me apart is not only my technical skill, but also my adaptability and eagerness to learn. While these genres are my core strengths, I’m always open to exploring new musical directions. With my ability to read music sheets and learn quickly, I can efficiently pick up new styles and integrate them into my playing.

Through years of live performance experience in diverse settings, I’ve developed a strong ability to read audiences and adjust my style to suit the music. Whether it’s providing a steady rhythmic foundation or contributing expressive, melodic bass lines, I focus on serving the music and elevating the overall performance.
