ABOUT

Versatile player Rhythm, Lead & bass Guitar Player. Song writer looking to join up with other musicians in the Penrith to Blacktown area or there abouts. I like technical music but I like mood variation. Happy to play a variation of instruments to suit the song. Have a good chordal grasp, happy to let others do what they do best. Like melodic metal, catchy stuff even commercial sound, can play classical. Like harmonic lead breaks and riffs. Happy to play covers suited to the players in the group. Love the big sound also appreciate unplugged sound.

Played in brass band, played clarinet in military band and BMYO. I've done a lot of teaching in my time.

As a separate project I'm also a song writer looking to record a stack of Christian Contemporary, gospel style as well as Gospel jazz/rock. Original music to psalms and variations to traditional Hymns with modern feel. Some very catchy melody lines but with sophistication. The original material has met instant approval to any one that's heard it either Christian or secular. It is commercially viable. Needs the right mix of people to play, perform and record it.

Influences

Like other genres other than those selected above. Country lead guitarists like Albert Lee. Like classical baroque period. Love any music that requires technical ability.

Beatles, most 70's middle of the road through to progressive rock, metal & Jaz Rock Fusion bands. Most late 60's & 70's rock super groups. Eagles, Boston, Kansas, Floyd, Zep, Sabbath etc.

Love instrumental music: Dixie Dreggs, Allan Holdsworth, Joe Satriani, Michael Lee Firkin, Andy Timmons, Jeff Beck. Love listening to drummers; Bill Brufford, Steve Gad, John Blackwell, Billy Cobham,
Rod Morgenstien etc.

Of the Christian players and bands: I like Phill Keaggy, Whitecross some Styper and in the softer range Keith Green. Write my own material; that ranges from Acoustic, commercial rock sound and jazz rock blended.
