Hi, I'm an intermediate level metal guitarist looking for other musicians to form a metal band. Another metal guitarist with similar chops as me who wants to make something serious is probably an ideal first step, but of course bass players, drummers and vocalists are all welcome to get something started as well.
I already have the bones of an E.P. written as well as other ideas for more tracks, but there's lots of room for embellishment. I primarily play a seven string in drop A.
In terms of the style of the project, it's mostly a mix of 2000's era metal like early Slipknot, Machine head, Lamb of God etc., but also modern prog metal like Meshuggah, Gojira and Tesseract. I want to keep it heavy and pissed off, but also for it to get proggy and unconventional as well. I'm working on my guitar chops in general after not playing much for a couple of years, but I'm focussing on improving my lead mostly.
I want this to be a band that eventuates into recording, shows and possibly touring later so I'm after a decent amount of commitment.
