ABOUT

Meanjin/Brisbane outfit Torizon proudly defines themselves as a “petalcore” act, fusing metalcore and alt-metal elements with the infectious hooks of pop music. Unafraid to explore the full spectrum of human emotion, their sound is driven by downtuned riffs, propulsive rhythms, and vibrant synth arrangements. Frontwoman Mish Sharma’s commanding vocals shift seamlessly between raw vulnerability and fierce intensity, while bassist Ben Gallaher’s cathartic screams add depth, creating an all-encompassing wall of sound. In the live arena, Torizon have packed out multiple hometown headline shows and shared stages with the likes of Circles, Valhalore, The Last Martyr, Fifth Dawn, GhostSeeker, Days Like These and Aurateque, including interstate shows with Orpheus Omega, Lycanthrope, Triple Kill and more. Previous singles 'Damaged' and 'Martyr' were widely embraced by triple j and triple j Unearthed, with 'Damaged' premiering on TOPS – triple j Unearthed. The tracks also gained airplay across Australian community radio such as 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide, Edge Radio, 2SER, Three D Radio, 2RRR and more. In the blogsphere, the tracks received support from PROG, Pilerats, The Music, Kill Your Stereo, AAA Backstage, HEAVY Mag, to name a few, with 'Martyr' earning a spot on 'PROG's Tracks of the Week'.
