The Cut is a fiercely originals-only, collaborative band, who�s only interest is in writing good music. We come from a variety of backgrounds and styles, but when we put those styles together, we create something unique. We are a loud, strong presence, but to call us Metal would be to categorise us unfairly. We have clear blues influences, but to call us Blues, would be to misunderstand blues. We just write what we write. If you like it, great, but we don�t try to write music to fit into a particular genre.

A bit of everything, from metal, to rock/alternative to blues � we listen to, and play, a variety of music.

Members Of Band

A basic three piece � drums, guitar, bass, keyboard (plus vocals).

Gary (drums)� The heart and driving force behind the band, Gary has been drumming for many years. He has a strong metal background, and loves the double-kick. He has an interesting sense of syncopation, and can pull it back when needed. An imposing presence, he is a 6�4� red-head and tattooed monster with a passion for hitting things.

Al (lead guitar)� An exceptional guitarist with an ear for metal and a great bluesy feel, Al is the knife edge that keeps The Cut sharp.

Rory (vocals, bass, keyboard); Having sung in pubs with older bands since 15 (now 37) Rory has a deep and gravelly voice that reaches to a rich tenor. A lyricist and poet, he weaves The Cut�s music into visions that pierce the imagination, leaving strange images that may occasionally bleed into your dreams.
