I am currently forming a band with like-minded, dedicated musicians. This band is a progressive-atmospheric-groove rock band of sorts. We like to fit punchy rock songs around cinematic progressions. We have guitars, bass, vocals and a synth/FX player, seeking a progy-punky-groovy drummer.

Influences

I grew up in the wonderful Australian indie rock scene as my father was in a touring band.

I enjoy most genres. Deftones, Tool, ISIS, Russian Circles, Cave In, Palms, Mastodon, A Perfect Circle etc. The skater scene; CKY, Clutch etc. Old school and “southern bluesy rock” Kiss, Pantera, Down, Motorhead, Faith no More etc. The seatle grunge scene; Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Mother Love Bone, Temple of the Dog etc. Australian indie rock scene; Sunnyboys, Powder Finger, The Church, Died Pretty, Grinspoon etc. I also have a love for darker music such as Type O Negative, Mayhem, Burzum, The Cure, Meshuggah, Cannibal Corpse and such. I enjoy a lot of soundtrack music too.

Guitars are mostly influenced by Adam Jones, Jerry Cantrell, Stephen Carpenter and Dimebag, drums are purely Abe Cunningham, Vocals is hard to say stylistically but my biggest inspirations are Layne Stayley and Mike Patton, bass is mostly Justin Chancelor, Chi and Caleb Shoefeild, I enjoy putting sound FX, piano and any other instruments that are interesting into the mix and pick up instruments pretty quick, Hans Zimmer influences most of my soundtrack/atmospheric stuff.
