Hey guys!
My name's Tarquin and I figured I'd sign up for this to find more musically-minded friends to play with and ideally create a band and produce! I am studying part time at RMIT so looking to stay active on the drums in my spare time. Ideally I am looking to play with a band that likes latin funk and knows of Cat Empire.
I'm into most types of music, but love funk like nothing else! I can play jazz, rock, soul and reggae but most versatile when I can bounce around on the kit. I have learnt a little bit of guitar, bass and keys, and I sing too- but feel most comfortable on the drums as I have been playing since I was 8.
I'm looking forward to meeting and playing with people and making good friends!!

Influences
My favourite drummer is Yussef Dayes, and my favourite band is Cat Empire. I'm also a big fan of Loyle Carner and Tom Misch for the guitar and vocals. I've grown up listening and seeing a lot of world/Indian music as my father is from South India. Artists such as Zakir Hussain and A.R. Rahman have inspired me greatly. I also love other world music bands like Airilike, Dub Inc, First Aid Kit, among plenty others.

EQUIPMENT
I have a drum set at my house which I practice on regularly. I also have an electric guitar, midi keyboard and MacBook that I use to record and produce my own music on. I don't have access to a car at the moment so I can't take my kit elsewhere unfortunately.
