Hi, I’m Tahndra! I'm 23 and I'm a passionate vocalist based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, currently looking to connect with musicians interested in forming a band, duo, trio, or other live music project with the goal of performing regular gigs and building something exciting together. I hold a Bachelor of Music (Major in Music Theatre) and have experience performing across a range of styles. While my training is rooted in musical theatre, I love singing a variety of genres including Blues, R&B, Soul, Pop, Indie, Acoustic, and Contemporary music. I'm always open to exploring new sounds and collaborating creatively. I'm keen to meet like-minded musicians who are committed, reliable, and enthusiastic about performing live, whether that's at pubs, bars, weddings, private events, corporate functions, or local venues. I'm based in the Eastern Suburbs but am more than happy to travel throughout Sydney for rehearsals, gigs, and opportunities that are the right fit. Influences
My influences range from contemporary artists like Olivia Dean through to timeless icons such as Etta James. I’m genuinely open to all genres and love exploring a wide range of vocal styles and artistic approaches.
Coming from a musical theatre background, I’m especially drawn to variety, dynamics, and storytelling in music. I love contrast within a song and I’m never afraid of a big vocal moment (yes, I do enjoy a good belt when it’s called for!). I also really enjoy adapting to different vocal tones and techniques across styles, and appreciating what makes each voice unique.
Some of my biggest inspirations include Kristen Chenoweth, Ariana Grande, Sutton Foster, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, and Adele, alongside many other incredible artists who continue to shape how I approach music and performance!
