Hey all: I've been out of the music scene for a while - in fact, I haven't picked up my bass in about 10 years - but I'm at the stage in life where I know I'll never be a serious musician, so with that in mind, I'm just after getting a group of mature bodies (say 40-50yo) together for a jam once a fortnight or something just to blow out the old cobwebs. Run through some standard covers, have a couple of drinks afterwards - all without the pressure of having to rehearse for gigs or an upcoming demo recording or whatnot.

Influences
Jimi Hendrix has always been my go-to, but lately I've been wanting to try and emulate some modern dance music type stuff using instruments where possible, like Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers - that kinda of thing.
