ABOUT

Drummer wanting musos to jam with, preferably guitarists or pianists that can sing and have some of their own songs they want to work on.

I'm looking for musos in their 30s/40s/50s who love talking/listening to music as well as jamming out over a couple of beers. I've made some great mates over the years from jamming so I'd like to meet some more interesting people.  I'm also open to working towards some gigs if things go well.

I'd prefer to play any original songs you've written and work out the parts, but I'm also open to jamming on some covers we can put a different slant on for a laugh and some inspiration. But have zero interest in playing in a performing cover band.

For years I played my original singer-song writer tunes with various band formations, one was an alt-country (ie Wilco/Neil Young influences) as well as an indie guitar band (ie more 90s guitar band style). I was on rhythm guitar/vox/harmonica, mostly for the fun of it with a few gigs here and there when we could get drummers to turn up :)

Though I decided to switch to drums a couple of years ago and I'm really enjoying jamming and practising. I'm by no means an advanced player and I don't have any gigging experience on the drums  - so if you're looking for a gig ready drummer you might need to keep looking :)

I don't have kids so I'm pretty flexible to jam weeknights or weekend afternoons so if you're interested let me know what might work for you. I'm looking for someone to come and jam in my practice room at Northgate as packing down, moving and setting up the drum kit is a bit time consuming to do for every practice.
