Just moved up to Cairns from Echuca/Moama (on the VIC/NSW border), where I gigged with a local singer once a week on average. We mostly started with larger gigs such as weddings, football club balls, debs, and other functions, and have recently performed mostly at pubs and wine bars. To date I've played acoustic guitar with a stomper box, no vocals yet, but I have brought all my gear with me to Cairns and looking for a vocalist to form a duo. Influences
I generally take songs on their merit. I don't follow particular bands or styles. I'll play anything from 60's through to current. If it's a great song and the crowd like it then I'm all over it. I love the rawness and honesty the acoustic set up brings. No backing tracks or fancy effects.
