I've been play drums since 2002. Started in high school bands playing swing, jazz, and top 40's. Moved into rock/ pop-punk about 2004 and started gigging a few times a month. Joined my church band in 2003, rehearsed x2 a week, and played events 2-3 times per week this continued for 12 years. Still play but have dropped back to fortnightly rehearsals and 1-2 times a month playing. Average crowd performances have been between 50 - 1000 people weekly.
Have also done a few gigs here and there throughout the years.
I'm a tight drummer. I don't try to be flashy. I'm solid and will hold the time regardless of what is happening. I've played with all sorts of levels of musios and can pick up on someone's vibe fairly quickly and accompany them. I like to support the band and provide stability.
For the sake of being transparent, the only negative feedback I have received is that I hit hard. Hasn't changed in 20 years and isn't going to now. I will work and play to the venue but tend to be a heavier hitter. (still, only use 7a's sticks religiously though)
I'm a family man. I enjoy a beer and a good whiskey and really looking to join a committed solid group that needs a drummer. Open to gig 1-2 nights a week. Mid-week or Weekends. Love playing rock, country, blues, anything that is a little rough and gets your foot-stomping, but can certainly play the lighter side of country.
