Hey Fellow Musos!
My name’s Scotty. I’m a 40 yr young lead guitarist/songwriter/engineer with 25+ yrs experience writing, recording, gigging and touring as support for some of Oz’s biggest acts along with headlining shows in our own right.
After a couple of quiet years due to work commitments and COVID I’m hungry to get back into something serious and collaborate with an experienced rock Vocalist/lyricist.
I’m very committed about music and like to maintain a professional standard but I’m also a pretty laid back guy who enjoys playing music for the love first - when you really love what you do I believe the success comes. I can’t stand ‘rock star’ attitudes, over inflated egos or super talented artists who think they’re times more valuable than everyone else’s in the band. So, like previous projects, I’m looking to work with someone who’s company I enjoy outside of music. Ideally you’ll also live on the Beaches for convenience of regular writing sessions but what’s most important is that we click.
Ideally I’m looking to continue playing to my strengths as a songwriter and guitarist in a Modern rock or hard rock band with light and shade, melody, power and groove. I love to incorporate acoustic elements and even some funk.
Open to a male or female vocalist in the rock genre who has a passion for telling a story through their lyrics. Here is just a small list of the vocalists that inspire me and compliment my songwriting;

I love to work with a singer who inspires the writing process and helps shape where the song goes. Some of the best songs I’ve ever been part of came from one riff that evolved into a song with a killer hook and clever progressions.
I’ve uploaded some songs from my back catalogue and a short improv video to give you some idea of what I’m all about.
Keen to write, gig, record and even tour again so hoping you have an understanding of the industry and happy to contribute to promotion of the band.
I also know a number of other muso’s (bass, drums, keys, 2nd guitar) who we can audition once we’ve determined our sound.
