I’ve been playing bass, guitar, mandolin and some keys in various rock bands for many years. Lately though, I just want to play electric guitar in a band or smaller group situation. I don’t mind switching out now and then, particularly to mandolin, but I’m mostly looking for opportunities to develop my guitar playing.
My great love is classic country or country rock a la Flying Burrito Bros, Emmy Lu, Dwight Yoakum, but I’d be happy to try out any sort of folk, folk-rock, greasy r&b or alternative configuration. I’m pretty open-minded musically and like everything from George Jones to the Velvet Underground. Just no bland mainstream stuff please.
