Hello fellow musicians,
I’m searching for an alternative rock/synthpop band in need of a keys player.
The most recent project I’ve been a part of is The Knews, an indie rock band fronted by two established songwriters from New Zealand. In the last year I’ve played with them across Melbourne, really enjoying the learning experience and figuring out what works best for me gear-wise.
I’ve been playing keys since I was 7, including 9 years studying classical and jazz piano. That built a foundation for my playing style as I love to incorporate complex rhythms and harmonies whilst playing synths. I love to add layers to the standard guitar/drum/bass paradigm with electronic and orchestral instruments.
I’d love to be a part of a project that’s somewhat experimental, sounding familiar but also like something you’ve never heard before ie. sampling a random recording from the 1930s, crossing genres and generally being wacky.
