i am a singersongwriter working w a bassplayer. We have known each other many years. We do a mix of (my) original material (latest c.d released in may of this year, Motherland) and covers. Our much loved guitarist left us recently to work in China. We had just started doing a few open mics and low key gigs. We have all (including our now gone guitarist) spent much time in Austin, Texas and our choice of covers reflects this. We are wanting to work w someone 35 and over as we are older musos and prefer the company of like minded souls who are closer to our age. We live in the city and inner west so you would need to live if not nearby then certainly within the area.

Please go to my site www.rosannamendez.com and listen to my recent c.d, Motherland. We do about six or seven songs from that and a few new ones and at most one or two of the old stuff on that site. Our covers are things like Rolling Stones 'Tumbling Dice', Keep your Distance by Richard Thompson, Gasoline and Matches by Buddy and Julie Miller. I also like doing cool and classic tunes like 'Fever' which defies type and is timeless imho.

Currently its myself, the singer, and the bass player. Both myself and the bass player play guitar.

EQUIPMENT

I have two acoustic guitars, a Taylor and a small bodied Martin, both of which I purchased in Texas. I also have a Fender Tele. Allen, the bass player has various bass and acoustic and electric guitars. You know, just the average amount that u'd expect from seasoned musos but nothing too excessive.
