ABOUT

Rafe has played Bass with iconic musicians including Megan Washington ('Washington'), Pete Murray and James Blundell. He has performed in support of popular artists including Jessica Mauboy, Archie Roach, Wolfmother and Spiderbait. Rafe has recorded music with veteran engineer Jeff Lovejoy (Powderfinger, Resin Dogs) and Magoo (Regurgitator, Midnight Oil, Custard), at top studios including Ian Huag's Airlock Studios. As the bass player for Brisbane blues rockers Go Van Go, Rafe has toured the East Coast of Australia, with standout shows at The Espy (Melbourne), The Great Northern (Byron Bay) and Frankie's Pizza (Sydney), along with Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge, Beetle Bar, The Arena RAW Showcase and Rics Bar. He's also performed in many major musical theatre seasons, including Les Miserables, RENT!, JC Superstar, Chess, Oliver, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Company and more.

Queensland Music Awards Finalist Rafe Sholer's original music productions have been used in TV Shows, Films, Video Games and much more, including high profile programs such as Geordie Shore through MTV UK, Party Bruder! through MTV Germany, Charmed on CBS and the The 7:30 Report on the ABC. He was selected as a Finalist in the 2012 Queensland Music Awards, Highly Commended in the 2013 QMAs and has placed in the Top 10 of the MusicOZ Awards. Rafe releases music with several respected record labels worldwide; his most recent release was listened to by over 22,000 people in just 3 days, scoring the Number One spot on prominent music blog Dubstep.Net. Rafe also performs at many iconic venues, including the Empire Hotel Moonbar, The Zoo, The Rev, Rics, The Valley Studios, and music festivals including Earthdance and Sounds of Spring.
