Silky Oak is heavily influenced by old time story tellers and the folk revivalists of the 70s, blending intricate acoustic fingerpicking with raw emotions and poetic story telling.
Based out of Northern Queensland Silky Oak has play a number of support gigs and played at festivals such as Townsville Folk festival, Yungaburra Folk Festivals and Sounds on Flinders.
I am hoping to expand this project and work with other musicians, that share a similar interest.
