Drummer, songwriter, recording/mix engineer and producer of 25 years available for originals, covers, fill-in or permanent positions, studio/session work but also seeking musicians.

I'm currently playing/rehearsing in a covers act that is getting ready to gig and folding a working act that was gigging because it got old and stale. Using my in-between time to network and find people to work with on either originals or covers projects. I’m involved in two originals bands, one called 'Project Montreal' which is currently in hibernation for song writing purposes, which I'm not directly involved in. The second is my own band called 'Speculum' which started as a side project just for fun but slowly evolved into something larger, but it’s still in the name of fun. I'm using this page not only to promote myself as a player but also to find musicians to collaborate with me to get my own projects completed.

I’m available as a fill-in or permanent for covers or originals gigs, I have about 200 or so songs in my covers repertoire and I learn new material quickly. I’m also available as a studio/ session player. I’ve tracked in many studios around Brisbane and on the coast; Loose Stones, Wave Length, Recording Oasis, Nasty and Alchemix to name a few. If you need drum parts tracked please get in touch with me via email at We can discuss the details of your project and my rates for the job. I can also offer myself as part of a rhythm section. I work with a bass player with whom I have a very tight and longstanding musical relationship going back more than 10 years. If you require a drummer and a bass player for a gig or session, we work very well together. Check us out in the video links.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm also looking for musicians for my own original project. I consider it a hybrid Industrial/Groove metal sound (think Pantera cross-bred with Ministry). I’ve got drums, bass and at least one guitar covered but I need a vocalist with the right sound (and perhaps a second guitarist, depending). Someone that sounds like Corey Taylor, Al Jourgensen, Phil Anselmo or Jens Kidman (on Chaosphere) would be the best fit. Not interested in the emo/screamo type or even the George Fisher death growl type. Just someone that can yell and when they do it sounds gnarly and mean, that's what the music calls for. (Being able to sing melody lines and do spoken word stuff would be a big plus too but not a deal breaker). I have several demo tracks finished but I need a vocalist that can gel with it and make it all work. If you think you have the sound I’m looking for, then I need to hear from you, so shoot me a message.

The short term goal is to get the track completed, release it as a single, play some gigs and have some fun doing it. The longer term goal is to get the rest of the material finalised and compile it all into an Ep or an album, release it and play some more gigs. After that, whatever happens, happens...
