ABOUT

I have always had a true passion for music, started with my mother's collection of vinyls which included masterpieces from Rolling Stones, Alan Parsons Project, Kiss, Bowie, Eagles,Toto and many more (including about 40 vinyls from "La grande storia del Rock" collection).
I was born in Italy and I started playing bass guitar in 2000, then I stopped for a few years until I formed in 2009 a band in Italy with two friends, Diego Avanzo (guitar) and Fabio Benetti (drums) called "The Boylers" (www.theboylers.com), which had a few months later two new members: Christian Bolognese (guitar) and Mirco Bellini (vocals).
I had to leave the band in 2011 due to a job opportunity here in Australia, however I am still actively collaborating with the band and playing occasionally. The Boylers also opened 2 concerts for Marky Ramone in 2012 and I played for one of the shows. Also, the Boylers played shows in Milan at Alcatraz and in Florence at the Viper.

In January 2015 I worked on my first solo demo with Diego and Fabio: it is called "The Mindful Sessions" (https://soundcloud.com/nicola-lodo), published on Youtube and printed for closest friends in May 2015.
Two songs were written during my time with the Boylers and they are still played by the band.

I formed a band in Australia with a friend who is playing drums and we are currently looking for a guitarist, no experience needed.
