Influences
My influences are pretty broad, starting with classic 70s and early 80s rock/pop artists like the Eagles, John Farnham, and Grayson Hugh, then moving into 90s rock, funk, alternative, and heavier guitar-driven music through bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, and Tonic.
Vocally, I’ve always been drawn to strong pop and rock singers, including John Farnham, Tina Arena, Vanessa Amorosi, Celine Dion, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, and plenty of other 80s and 90s artists. Overall, I’m into strong melodies, groove, big vocals, solid harmonies, and music that works well live.
My drum style is quite freestyle and groove-driven, with a bit of a Chad Smith influence - loose, energetic, and built around feel rather than overplaying.
