ABOUT

I'm Jyoti, a jazz singer from Belgium, who recently moved to Australia. I'm looking for musicians to join or form a band with, write new songs, arrange old jazzy or pop songs, perform on music festivals, on functions, weddings, corporate events, travel around Australia to perform!

I'm an experienced jazz vocalist, and would love to work with other singers and musicians. Gospels, music from the early 20's and 30's, Work songs, American Folk songs, Jazz standards, Pop songs - a capella or with a band, being a front singer or backing vocalist. I'm very passionate about music, about being a singer and sharing many moments of happiness with other musicians!

I've got a Master Jazz degree (as a Jazz vocalist) from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, Belgium, and have been performing all over the world with different bands.

I would love to connect with new people who breathe the same passion for music, so I can find my way into the Australian music industry

Adelaide Fringe Festival @ Adelaide Town Hall (entry Pirie Street)

Two half-Indian, Belgian Sing(h)ing Sisters with the sonorous name ‘Singh’ bring their musical passion together in their own musical theatre production in which they flourish within their own style as an Opera and Jazz singer.
They are virtuously accompanied by the jazz pianist Stijn Wauters.
In this music theatre project the biggest clichés of jazz and opera singers are musically enlarged by The Singhing Sisters, Jyoti and Dipika Singh. This current production has an universal story line in which laughs and tears go hand in hand. Live music is served as refreshing soul food on a silver platter of professionalism, humour accompanied by a warm glow of musical virtuosity, spiced up acting performances are seasoned with the natural aroma of one very talented jazz musician on the piano. The story line is also supported by film fragments which were developed in collaboration with Caveman Productions. In these visuals the sisters play the leading roles together with a well-known handsome Belgian actor, Pieter Embrechts, and the story is being brought to you in a beautiful setting of the 40's.
Enjoy this unique and breathtaking concert!
