Hey there. I've been singing off and on for years, dabbling initially in some musical theatre and classical training. I then took a few years off to focus on acting and other projects and it's only now I'm delving back in. I'd be interested in joining a band, originals and covers. Probably anything other than pop really! Just on the site to see who's around and who's looking. I spent a lot of time working with people in a highly strung, mistakes equals social death type environment (aka musical theatre), so I'm really looking for people who are just great to get along with. A couple of scenarios I'm interested in would be of course a band, but also a group with just myself and another vocalist / acoustic guitarist, so we can sing some slow tunes to a relaxed crowd. Think the movie "Once", "Country Strong", "A Star is Born", and I suppose even "Begin Again". I'm a softy for these songs what can I say. But not completely - definitely open to other styles with a little more meat on their bones too. I've attached a shocker of a video (first rehearsal so ignore us all tuning up) but it also happens to be the only one I have on film and it'll give you an idea of my voice, albeit a small one. It's quite a bit higher than usual in this song, (Kate Bush songs and my voice do not mix) but I also tend to the lower end as well.
