Hey, I'm Alana (Lani), I'm a mezzo soprano with a soulful flavour. I love all kinds of music but more drawn towards soul and r&b. I'm very much inspired by artists such as Joss Stone, Lianne La Havas, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Nicks and feel that my own style has developed through drawing on their beautifully diverse sounds.

My voice is quite versatile and I still feel that I am discovering different ways of using it. I'm loving the process!

I've been gigging in the inner west of Sydney for the past 6 years and have been in a variety of cover bands. I used to play weekly at the Hard Rock Cafe in a trio where I was the lead vocalist accompanied by a guitar, cajon and harmonica. I was also the lead vocalist in a cover band in Sydney for many years and played clubs, pubs, corporate functions, house parties etc. I am totally in my element on stage and love getting a crowd going!
