I am a former bassist of two gigging bands. One Grunge and the other 80s-90s Hard Rock. I played many weekend gigs years ago. I had kids and then stopped.
Since then I’ve still played at home for fun, and stepped into the world of guitar a fair while ago. My major influence is Tool which I play lead guitar and bass for all their songs. Playing lead guitar has taught me things to bring across to bass that improves my playing beyond bass alone.
I loved playing in a cover band before, and I’m open to see if I would like to again meeting the right people.
I’m keen to play bass again, focussing on being a bassist that can help lead the rhythm and bringing my guitar knowledge to help shape the sound.
I could cover most genres on bass. I can handle timings other than 4/4, structured syncopation and love groove.
I am a fan of the 90s scene but I am also enjoying more modern Indie Rock which has a range of awesome catchy songs with great basslines.
