Hi everyone,
My name is Kris. I'm a backpacker from Germany and I'm 25 years old. I'm far away from being a professional musician, but I'm also not a beginner. I had a couple of gigs with a school band. The rest of my experience is mostly playing with friends for fun, covering our favourite songs and jamming. While I'm traveling I'm looking for every opportunity to play with other people, so I hope I'm gonna meet some of you soon ;)
PS: I'll stay in Sydney for at least 6 months, because I'm working here as a sparky (electrician) and have a good job. Although it's kind of a short term project, I'm very commited to rehearsing regularly. I'm really passionate about playing music and want to improve more. If you have songs already we can try to arrange them and find a few small gigs, but I'm also keen to cover or just jam for fun. Really anything, I just want to play with other people.

Influences
Some of my favourite bands are:
Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Santana, Frank Zappa, Tool, Rage against the machine, Fishbone, Dream Theater, Rush, Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, The Doors, Queen, Rammstein, Deep Purple.
So that's a lot of rock music. But I'm basically interested in all kinds of music. I played a bit of funk, reggae and blues with my friends for fun. I'm currently looking to get more into jazz and Latin music, I'll need more practice to play that successfully in a band though.

EQUIPMENT
Being a drummer and backpacking doesn't combine very well :( at the moment I have only sticks and a practice pad. But rehearsal studios usually offer drum kits to hire, so that's the option I'm looking for, unless you have something better in mind.
