I'm looking to for some musicians to play with after taking a 5 years break to focus on other things. Prior to my hiatus, I played in a variety of bands from post-metal, deathcore, progressive metal, brass bands, wind symphonies, jazz bands, etc.
I'm pretty keen to play with some prog metal/fusion/jazz musicians where we can have a but of diversity. In terms of what i'm looking for, I'm up for pretty much anything, whether it be just jamming or......working together to compose and recording an epic concept album.
Aside from drumming, I can play pretty basic piano and i'm able to sing reasonably well.
As an aside, i'm in my 30's have a wife and child and an intense and demanding job - so i'm looking for people in a similar situation who understand that i'm going to need to balance many demands.

Influences
I'm a big fan of an array of drummers such as Blake Richardson, Thomas Haake, Jay Postones, Mike Portnoy, Jeff Pocaro, Gavin Harrison, Dave Weckl, Martin Lopez.
Musically I tend to listen to a wide array of prog metal bands, as well as lots of folk, some electronic, rock, etc. Top bands on my list at any given time will include;
Meshuggah, The Dear Hunter, Tesseract, Sleep Token, The Contortionist, Between the Buried and Me, A7X, In-Flames, Slipknot, Karnivool, Opeth
