Hi.

We're a new Adelaide band looking for a drummer - is that you?

My name's Kable. This band started as an extension of my solo electronic music... as a way to perform my "synth and drum-machine music", live, with guitar, synth and bass.

And now it's a proper band.

We've been rehearsing for 6 months, and it's fun.

The music has evolved - you could call it "Groove focused, non-vocal, experimental rock with electronic elements".

We need a drummer to complete our band.

We rehearse fortnightly at 'Sunset Rehearsals' in Clarence Gardens.

We have a 30min set of songs, and we're writing more.

We want our new drummer to:
-be able to be part of writing new songs
-be cool with four on floor simple-dumb beats, AND complicated weird syncopation, AND subtle sounds, AND whatever other varied stuff you like to play.
-be really really funny.

We also need a new band name, so if you can come up with something rad, that would be cool.

We've played one gig, at the Metro in town. Instead of a drummer, we used drum tracks from the computer... we need you to be our drummer, so we can play more fun gigs!

We each have different music backgrounds - from being in Melbourne indie rock bands, to laptop techno producer to live synth ambient stuff.

One element of this band is maintaining a connection to music, and social connection. We're not a professional outfit, and are not pushing to "make it".

When it comes to who we are, the three of us are guys in late 30s early 40s, with kids and (non music) careers.. We're keeping this vibe low pressure.
