I've been playing guitar for 12 or so years... 10 of which poorly just kind of figuring it out but have gotten half decent in the past 2 years. I'm at a point now where that next level is working out how to play with people and just refining the things that take you from being able to play guitar to actually being a musician.
My musical theory is pretty poor but something I'd likely improve quite fast as needed. Whilst I can play most things I don't necessarily know why certain things work which obviously impacts improv but this is something I want to improve which I think comes from playing with others.
Ultimately I'd like to play cruisey pub gigs focused on great covers either solo or with one other people. I can't quite sing yet but with some focus and training I believe I wouldn't be too bad. At the moment I'm looking for someone who knows more than me in terms of playing with others, performing and looking for someone who with a little bit of mentorship would be a great partner. Also just someone to have fun with playing music.
