ABOUT

Originally started as a solo project, JonVal was a one man band created by Singer songwriter Jonathan Vallario, writing songs and performing them on acoustic guitar at venues around Sydney.
Then it was back to the bedroom recording with garage band software in order to add layers of bass, backing vocals, and percussion to the tracks.

Wanting a more layered and dynamic sound when performing live, JonVal then became a duo with the talent of Pianist and singer Minnie Rose.
Adding keys and a female vocalist brought a more soulful and harmonious feel to the band which then progressed into playing gigs as a duo.

The final Evolution of JonVal was the addition of Armitage ‘SeaBass’ Shanks and TimmyG (aka. The Drum Assassin) jazzing up tracks with funky bass lines and a solid Engine-room rhythm to complete the line-up.

So what started as one has now become four.
An entity greater than the sum of its parts.

JonVal continue to play and develop their own soulful blend of melodic Indie Rock and are on schedule to independently release their debut single September 2017 with a full album to soon follow.
