Hi all,
We are a four-piece established funk band residing in Sydney, unfortunately our drummer is leaving us and we are using this as an opportunity to expand our sound.
Current Lineup Includes:
Chris: Lead Saxophone, backing vocals
Fergus: Bass Guitar, backing vocals
Jono: Guitar, lead vocals
Information about the band:
We are currently finishing off some dates all the way up to the end of the year before parting with our drummer (we will be keeping our name anonomyous until we play our last show).
We are an established band having played headlining shows in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong as well as a few festivals.
We're signed to an small indie record label who assists us with distribution.
Between us individually, we've played close to around 300 gigs and around 50/60 as a band, so we are an extremely tight and experienced group (this inculdes studio experience as well).
Band member's are male all in there mid 20's.
What we are looking for:
- Drummer
- Keyboard
- Front woman/singer vocalist
- Possibly a second guitarist
The aim is to create a band that is made up of tight musicians who are able to perform energetic shows. We're wanting to write/record and perform in hopes of signing to management and generate major label interest.
Important things:
Before responding please make sure you are between the ages of 22-29 and experienced/can play/perform your instrument to a high quality.
Must able to commit to rehearsals 2/3 times weekly (usually weeknights) and gigs (please don't respond if you are lazy/undevoted/uncommited)
We are particularly insterested in expanding the band to include some female members.
Whilst we take it very seriously, we are all very easy going and have lots of fun during the process. We all work part time and consider oursevles full time musicians. We are in the process of obtaining our own rehearsal space based near the innerwest.
