ABOUT

I’ve been playing the drums professionally for about 6 years now. I've been tapping and annoying people since I can ever remember - early memories of my mum pleading to "Stop that racket". Yes the police have come to my house on several occasions for 'noise complaints' and we are now on a first name basis.

First and foremost - I’m extremely professional. I tend to be the one that arrives hours before a gig/practice and the last one to leave. I can communicate my own ideas and I am extremely resourceful with my craft. I can take creative criticism and will hear anyone out with suggestions or ways on how to better improve myself.

I’ve had an amazing music career so far and it’s only just beginning. I’ve played some amazing gigs like the Big Day Out, The vanguard, The Basement, The Manning Bar, The Horden Pavilion, The Big Top, Pete’s Ridge Festival, Tamworth Country Festival, Blues and Jazz Festival @ The Rocks – Just to name a few. I’ve also recorded several albums, singles and EP’s as a session drummer. I have also played live at both Triple J and FBI and several tracks I have recorded with have been featured on both stations.

I teach drums after work and have filled in for a couple of drummers that have stepped out of gigs at the last minute without notice. I used to own a recording studio with three other muso’s in Alexandria so I’m very knowledgeable in all areas of music.

I live 10 minutes from the city. So I like to think I’m pretty close to most music venues/rehearsal studios.

I own my drum kit and can get from A to B with no problems.

Please contact me and I’ll be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

Influences

As a drummer, I feel the need to keep an open mind about music that influences me in general. I think there’s a huge difference between what I listen to as music and what I listen to as a drummer. Ill tend to listen to more 'drum notorious' bands when/before I have a practise. They include bands associated to Neil Peart, John Bonham, Chad Smith, Mike Portnoy, David Garibaldi - The list goes on.

But in having said all this - It does not mean I am limited to these genres or playing styles. I play all sorts of musical genres.

I like playing smooth, original, flowing, soulful, to the heart, meaningful, beautiful music that I feel a strong connection to. Things that make me smile, things that make me frown. Any sort of music that makes me feel emotional on any sort of level. THAT is what I want to be involved in and if you can give me that then I promise I will give you 110% - I’ll give you everything I’ve got!

Love Jazz, funk, rock, folk, country, alternative, fusion, Latin and world.
