I am a lead vocalist. I have been singing close to 30 years. I spent from age 14 until 25 sing with my dad as a duo and with also when he invited fellow musicians from his earlier days to do selected gigs. I started out singing songs by Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Tania Tucker. In time I added Creedence, The Eagles,’Elvis Presley, and then Alannah Miles and Shania Twain. Spent a few of my early teens doing acting on stage doing musicals,such as,’Cats, The Sound of Music, Annie, Dick Whittington and his Cat, South Pacific and Joseph and his Technic Colour Raincoat. I stopped singing publicly for about 10-12 years because being the mother of 7 children didn’t leave much time for me to think of myself. I was born in Osborne Park, W.A. but spent most of my adult life in Melbourne and I have been back in Perth since 2013. I’ve been finding my feet ever since. I’m fortunate enough to say that in the last 4-5 years my voice has not only matured and become better, it has gone the way I’d never have thought. I’m confident enough in my singing, so basically, if I don’t give myself a good wrap then who will???
My voice has become a bit deeper, huskier, and breathing techniques has come in pretty handy because I now sing Bonnie Tyler, Joan Jett, Tina TurnerAdele, Alicia Keys, SIA, Guns’n’Roses, Evanescence, and every now and then I’ll go back to my roots and sing a bit of country. I have also got into writing songs, but I don’t play any instruments so they are all gathering dust. I love music. I love to sing. So if anyone out there that would consider me,
I can promise they will be getting a person 100% committed to them.
