Vocalist & Guitarist looking to start something new. Current band on hiatus. Have played since I was 16 - Punk & Garage stuff - hugely influenced by 50-70s R&B and Rock n roll.
Always leaned toward original material, released singles & albums & did small tours with my bands playing my songs all over Europe & the US.
Now looking to play something a bit harder edged. Love Detroit influenced bands like the Stooges, MC5, Mitch Ryder, but also old-school punk like The Dictators, Johnny Thunders' Heartbreakers, New York Dolls, Real Kids. If you know this stuff, then you definitely should text me.
I'm definitely into vocal harmonising - which I think is missing in most bands I see nowadays. So singing abilily (especially for bass & guitar) is a must.
Got a cool rehearsal space in Bentleigh East. Not big, but have everything needed.
Looking for Drummer & Bass Player. Possibly guitar player if you can sing.
Not looking for professional types (as I DO NOT want to play top 40). A good sense of time, an ability to swing, a decent memory, barre chord knowledge, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour is necessary.
