Drummer/Percussionist with over 30 years experience. Had a little break from music (tried "normal life", it sucks), keen to play, jam, gig regularly again. To give you an idea of my level of playing, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I was accepted to the Sydney Con Jazz course... but didn't end up going. Keen to play pretty much anything that isn't too formulaic.

Influences

Jazz: Particularly the bold drummers like Art Blakey, Tony Williams, Elvin Jones. All the funk, most of the rock, got a thing for Alt-Country and off-kilter rock currently. I listen widely and can at least appreciate most styles even if I don't like them especially.

EQUIPMENT

Australian made 6 piece drum kit with a collection of way too many of Zildjan cymbals and 5 different Australian hardwood snare drums and 2 metal snares. So I can cover most styles/sounds. Also have an electronic kit with a Roland TD-12 module and a Roland Handsonic hand percussion controller. Also have triggers for mixing acoustic and electronic sounds.
